:: we have completed several new updates for this week...
1) Financials
Just a quick reminder again that you can now process and track credit card payments with your ampEducator account and any merchant account you like - if you are interested please email us!
2) Prospect Auto Rely Email
You can now specify an auto-reply email template and subject line under Configuration->Prospects. Once setup every new prospect that is added through the Prospect Form, Web Form or Web Services will automatically receive the email.
3) Import Updates
You can now import Staff and Contacts into ampEducator saving you even more time!
4) Improved Parent Login
Due to popular demand we have updated the software to better support our K-12 clients with a more robust Parent Login. Ask us for details!

:: Trade Show Update! Live from Banff Park Lodge in Alberta for the National Association of Career Colleges (Canada) Annual Conference - the weather is great and the show is even better! Amperea Software is please to present that we now offer online payments directly from Booth#012...
:: new features this week...
:: you can now integrate your student credit card payments directly with with ampEducator. If you are interested in setting up your merchant account to work so that your students can login and make payments with their credit card let us know!
1) Financials
Configuration > Financial you can select and add your payment gateway and add your specific information such as refund policy and billing statement description (contact us to have your gateway method added if you don't see it in the list).
Student > Financial - both administrators and students can now log in and make credit card payments.

:: in order to support new features coming up we made a few more changes this week - here is the FYI...
1) Educators
Having both staff and educators was confusing and repetitive since both modules were nearly identical. Educators have now been rolled into staff with an 'Educator' role.
2) Courses
Scheduling for courses has been updated to give single day control over course events. You can now schedule and manage course events individually!
Course terms have now become optional and can be added/removed even after the course is created.
The existing 'Schedule' tab has been renamed 'Timetable'. The timetable for a course can be used as a template to schedule the course events.
Any user can now be assigned as an Educator to a course.
3) Activities --> Calendar --> Courses (NEW!)
The activities tab has been renamed 'Calendar' and a large title has been added to the calendar. This was done as the calendar will start to display course schedules in addition to existing activities.

:: as promised more importing options and a new tool to 're-calculate' student data.
1) Staff Import
You can now import Staff data into ampEducator. This import also allows you to assign Role and user name and password to save you time setting up a large number of Staff into ampEducator. Check it out!
2) Contacts Import
You can now import Contacts into ampEducator. Contacts are assigned to Staff, Students and Educators and range in types - examples include Parents, Suppliers, Agents, Housing, Employers and much more!
3) Students
Re-calculate Totals - there is now a 'Recalculate Totals' button on the student list. This will automatically recalculate all student totals and credits earned (student term, student academic year and overall).

:: there has been a tremendous amount of activity over here at Amperea Software and we've got a lot of news to cover so let's get started...
:: first off - we'd like to thank all our users for the great feedback we have been receiving from our recent update regarding security and sharing so far it has been very successful and powerful addition to our application.
:: just a quick note to say 'thanks' to all of you who stopped by our booth in Collingwood, Ontario for the Ontario Association of Career Colleges (OACC) Annual Conference. We are a proud partners with the OACC and Gold Sponsor of this event 3 years running and will be back next year in Niagara Falls. Amperea is the technology provider for the Student Transcript Electronic Protection System (STEPS) and we have a special module to direct connect and store transcripts with just a couple of clicks in ampEducator. If you are interested in this feature please let us know - we'd be happy to demo it for you. We are very glad to announce that almost 70,000 student transcripts have been stored to date with STEPS - Congrats!
:: we also wanted to announce that Amperea was selected by the OACC to build the new Quality, Testing and Assurance software and we look forward to offering this to you soon. For more information on this initiative or to become involved please contact the OACC directly.
:: Amperea was also selected and has built the National Association of Career Colleges (NACC) Online Examination and Learning System (NOEL)- which is now available and in use by many of you already. If you have any questions about this service - please feel free to contact NACC directly.

:: it's all about importing this week with ampEducator and this week Student data import has been released. On deck, we have contacts, courses and many more import tools on the way. We also have updated the financial export to help you get all your financial transactions out of ampEducator. This is great for users looking to reconcile with their accounting software. The other changes are mostly with Activities, including some popular requests from the feedback forum that are now complete - check it out!
1) Student Import
You can now import student data yourself into ampEducator (previously, you could import only to prospective students and then convert them to students) and we hope that you all find this section helpful to import basic student information, student program information and student financial information.
2) Financial Export
We now offer an updated financial export report that allows you to export all transactions from ampEducator to import and reconcile to your accounting software of choice.
3) General Changes
Activities Calendar- the activities calendar now has its own window and re-sizes accordingly.
Activities To Do Items - You can now specify 'To Do Items' which only require a date and no start/end time. They appear at the top of the calendar in yellow.
Activities Phone and Email - The associated phone & email is now displayed when you edit an activity to save you from having to open additional windows.
Activities Linked to Profiles - Clicking on the associated name will now open a new window displaying the details of the associated object.
Sharing - Added options under Prospect/Student configuration which let you determine the groups to automatically share prospects/students.
Students - You can now delete student program records in addition to being able to withdraw them from a program (which keeps a record of the withdrawal).
Students - Program Intakes are now optional and you can select a start date outside of the the program intake.
