ampEducator allows for generation of Student ID Cards from within the system that are integrated with an (~) Bar Code Reader. Any USB bar code reader will work with the system. Amperea recommends www.waspbarcode.com, but there are many others on the market.
 
FAQ - How do I setup the Bar Code Reader with ID Cards for my school?

These cards can be used as stand alone identification or in conjunction with the hour tracking system.

Here is an example of a typical card with all printing options selected:

You can design any style of card you like and upload it as a PDF Template (example shown below). The PDF template you upload must be the final card size. For example: if your card is business card size then you must create a PDF template 2" x 3.5" final size. Uploading a PDF with 8-up cards will not work - ampEducator takes the total selected number of cards you wish to print and does the imposition on the page for you based on your settings here:

In a majority of cases ID Cards will be printed with multiple numbers on a sheet. You can set the settings for the printing here. Horizontal pitch is the width of the card plus the horizontal space before the next card. Vertical pitch is the height of the card plus the vertical space before the next card.
